The Up and Downs of Life
Even youths grow
tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on
wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not
be faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31
The downward and
upward spirals of life will either cause is to descend toward discouragement and depression or
ascend to hope and faith. A life apart from
God will cause the former and a life with Him will cause the latter. When you
learn to find your strength in the Lord, He offers a life fill with purpose,
value and meaning. When we attempt to
handle life on our own, the opposite occurs.
Isaiah 40:30-31 gives us the picture of the soaring eagle’s majestic
flight. He writes, “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young
men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will
walk and not be faint.” Recently, I read a post on Facebook that
caught my attention. I hope it causes us
to see the truth that comes in Him. Please
read all the way down, first, then all the way up, last.
Atheist’s View of Life
I will live my life
according to these beliefs
God does not exist
It is just foolish to
think
That there is a God
with a cosmic plan
That an all-powerful
God brings redemption and healing to the pain and
suffering in the world
Is a comforting
though, however
It
Is only wishful
thinking
People can do as they
please without eternal consequences
The idea that
I am deserving of
Hell
Because of sin
Is a lie meant to
make me a slave to those in power
“The more you have,
the happier you will be”
Our existence has no
grand meaning or purpose
In a world with no
God
There is freedom to
be who I want to be
But with God
Everything is fine
It is ridiculous to
think
I am lost and in need
of saving
A CHRISTIAN VIEW ON LIFE
(read this from bottom to top)
May
the Lord offer His strength is there is always hope in Him. You have every reason to put your trust in
Him today.
Reflections:
1. What was your
view of life before coming to Christ?
Aggressively opposed to Him or simply indifferent?
2. Praise Him
today for all that He has given you through life and hope.
Consider reading the Word today:
